On Sunday, ballistic missiles fired by Houthi rebels near Yemen attacked near Israel's Ben Gurion Airport after multiple attempts to intercept by the IDF (IDF). The missile strike prompted a temporary halt of all takeoffs and landings at the country's major international airports.
However, the Israel Airport Authority confirmed that the airspace will reopen after the temporary suspension of the flight. According to the Times of Israel, the missile affected the woods near a road outside the airport. However, direct blows to terminal infrastructure are avoided.
“In the area of Ben Gurion Airport, the impact was found. The Israeli Air Force's air defense forces launched an investigation into the matter to identify and determine the cause of the failed interception.
