Operation Sindoor: Indigo cancels flights to 11 cities due to closed airports
Indigo on Wednesday canceled its flight operations in 11 cities in northern, northwestern and central India until May 10, following the directives of the aviation authorities in the Indian armed forces “Operation Sindoor” in retaliation for the airport closures when Pahalgam attacks.
“Flights to and from these cities are still cancelled in compliance with aviation directives until 0529 hours on May 10,” said the budget carrier on X.
Earlier, flights visible in Lahore no longer existed. Delays and stopovers are expected as international flights are diverted to avoid Pakistan's airspace. Passengers are expected to cancel further due to rising tensions in India-Park. According to the trend in Chandigarh, border airports may be closed for more than 24 hours. Regional Carrier Star Airlines has also suspended flights to and from Nanded, Hindan and Adampur.
