Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of politicizing the Pahalgam attack and lacking real compassion for the victims. Mr Yadav claimed that the BJP published a childish ad on the extremely painful tragedy, adding that even its staunch supporters would not forgive such a sin even if the party deleted the ad. He wrote on X.

It is believed that the SP President hints at the BJP Chhattisgarh unit reading poster.Dharm Poocha, Jati Nahi …… Yaad Rakhenge” (They ask that religion does not form castes, they will remember it). The poster is not online yet.

Mr Yadav said the BJP could not overturn its responsibility for so many deaths. “It is the failure of the central government that it is not aware that such a terrible event will happen to the enemy of the country. This is not the first time. If the BJP government learned a lesson from previous attacks, it would be vigilant, then such attacks could be prevented,” he added.

SP leaders called the Pahalgam incident extremely disturbing and asked the BJP not to let India be safe in just one slogan. “It is a plea to insensitive BJP members, and after understanding the pain of losing a family, at least not just make the security of the country a slogan. It is a huge sad time, the BJP should not commit misconduct, it should not deny that it was a mean meeting and false attitude.
