Akhilesh Yadav accuses Adityanath government of indulging in large-scale mining by Chambal Ravines

Samawadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday accused large-scale illegal mining and environmental damage in the chambal ditch in Etawah, accusing government-led officials of promoting the disappearance of the entire hill. In a strongly worded post on X, Yadav questioned whether the small hills near the historic Sumer Singh Fort have been “transferred to areas like Basti and Gorakhpur and conspired with lower and higher officials.

He shared a video clip showing what seemed partly flattened landscape, where hills once stood.

“New officials may come and go, but Chambal’s hills were hacked and disappeared from corrupt spades and separated by collusion’How do these come back?” Yadav wrote.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister added: “Paryavaran Kahe Aaj Ka, Nahi Chahiye BJP (in the name of today’s environment, we don’t need BJP)!”
