All the weird and weird gadgets hit the scene

The annual Computex Computing Conference in Taipei, Taiwan won’t fill the scent of yarn as much as CES 2025, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing unworthy. NVIDIA is trying to perform with the latest show in its Blackwell series GPU, launching the GeForce RTX 5060 and expanding its AI software suite, and we also get new laptops with the Razer Blade 14 and Acer Predator Triton 14 AI. But, among those expected releases, we also get some quirky releases, which may be more fun than entry-level graphics cards.
If you are looking for something interesting, we will serve you. We will keep this post updated as we see more news from Computex, so stay tuned.
Elgato’s Stream Deck “Module” wants to give everyone desktop buttons
Content creators swear to stream decks, but the average layman may not understand all the fuss. These devices are control panels related to commands on your PC. These keys can provide controls as simple as open Adobe Premiere, or as complex as exporting completion programs. Elgato is a manufacturer of some of the more popular decks, now considering its stream decks as a “platform.” First is a series of modules that offer the most under-deck experiences, including six, 15 or 32 keys. There is also a separate dock that also allows you to network deck directly over Ethernet, but the big push is to use a virtual stream deck. This is just a program that allows you to create custom hotkeys that you can access by clicking on desktop.
ASUS ROG’s split keyboard for gamers can be used as a pair of nunchaku moonlight

If Razer can give us one Ergonomic vertical mouse, Why shouldn’t Adams-centric ROG brand be separated from us with keyboards? The company said Falcata 75% keyboard If you only need the WASD key and you need to free up desktop space, that’s great. It uses the company’s own ROG HFX V2 magnetic keyboard switch with customizable travel from 0.1 to 3.5mm. But better yet, if you prefer a row of cherry keys, the switches can be swapped. The split design and movable angled palm rest should provide better ergonomics for people experiencing carpal tunnel or wrist pain on traditional singular keyboards. Asus would rather talk about its 8,000Hz turnout, which is the speed measure the device is able to press its keys on the PC report.
Now, returning to the mouse with too many keys is now a pseudo-stream deck

Corsair’s Scimitar Elite WL SE was built for gamers who need to hit countless Hotkeys quickly, and Corsair also wants its gaming mouse to be a productivity device. The mouse has a total of 16 programmable buttons, most of which are located on the large “key block” button on the left side of the mouse. For competitive MMO gamers, this is an ostensible mouse that they hope to be easily accessible on the one hand. Combined with Elgato’s new stream deck feature, Scimitar can now come up with a virtual stream deck or even execute commands if you need to quickly access a working application, open a web page, or access a stream control. Oh, it also comes in white.
If I have one

We crossed our fingers and hoped to finally see the supposed Xbox-branded handheld computer produced by Asus on this year’s Computex. Instead, in the first few days, if the ROG Ally 2 still pretended that there was no presence, the company fell out of the nose, and seemed to have some on the nose as well. The Rog Bulwark Dock, like many other official and third-party devices, is designed to keep your steam deck, or any Rog Ally or Ally X that you stand upright and take responsibility for. This is a 7-in-1 dock that supports 4K at 144Hz output via HDMI 2.1. The benefit of this dock is that the 90-degree USB-C cable has not yet been married to any location on the device, making it easier to plug into the port of any handheld motor port you use. Asus says the design and its shallow cup will also work with phones and laptops, but we think it should be beneficial for the Xbox handheld board whenever it arrives.
You can use AI to make plugins for NVIDIA’s AI

Nvidia’s A-Coption now includes its own project G Assistant, and combines coding tools powered by Openai Chatgpt. G-Assist is the company’s chatbot integrated with NVIDIA applications, and currently, it can only provide Bareonbones PC diagnostics or suggestions to make changes to your graphics settings. The best aspect of the chatbot’s “small language model” is that it can work entirely on the device, but the user itself may be able to modify the limited functionality of the AI and use it Plugin Builder. This allows the user to make G-assist interact with other applications. However, you don’t even need to know how to code well to build a plugin, because the plugin builder writes it for you using a separate AI chatbot. NVIDIA suggests this will work with apps like Spotify’s music and volume control, but we prefer to work as a legitimate PC assistant, so we don’t need to access multiple competing apps to change settings on the keyboard and mouse.
This cute PC box won’t be seen in the flower field

Judging by their name, the Hyte’s X50 case seems like any other square PC case, but you can already tell with that image that the design is very different from the standard black box that most people are willing to paste under their desks. Both the X50 and X50 air are made of a 1mm thick steel frame with micromesh and 4mm laminated glass panels. These are all formed around the circular design of the case. The “Air” model is only available in white or black, but the X50 color scheme, including “Cherry,” “Tao Milk,” “Strawberry Milk,” and “Matcha Milk,” are what you usually find on local brew refreshments. The X50 costs $150 and looks like a case that makes your PC stand out from a range of hard-edged fish designs that most companies see. The case should arrive sometime this summer.
The worst thing about Dell’s new AI-centric laptop is conceivable

This is the Dell Pro Max Plus. This name ranks each level of the iPhone name in one. Aside from the company’s increasingly confusing naming conventions, the Pro Max Plus has an interesting component that you won’t find on most other laptops. It contains a discrete NPU, the Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 chip. An NPU or neural processing unit is a dedicated part of a chip or discrete processor used to handle intensive AI processes. A typical PC with the latest AMD, Intel or Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors can support 45 to 50 tops, or trillions of operations per second. This itself is the derived value that is usually compared to AI processing. The hit rate of Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 is about 350 tops.
It’s hardly the largest top of the discrete graphics processor (NVIDIA’s lowest-level Blackwell GPU, the RTX 5060, can do 614 tops), but there’s no need to worry about AI-specific chopped power consumption.
