Alliance Buzz Grows With Amit Shah Visiting Tamil Nadu

Last month, AIADMK Secretary General Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) met Shah in Delhi, which inspired conversations between the two sides that both sides initiated an echo to restore their alliance.
The key factor in these deliberations is BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai, who is widely seen as a barrier to alliance building due to tensions with the AIADMK leadership. Sources have indicated that Annamalay may step down and may be a Rajya Sabha berth or a national-level mission for him to consider.
But, insiders of the party clarified that caste and regional calculations are driven more than coalition negotiations. In the state’s BJP circle, Nainar Nagendran is becoming the leader in taking over him.
During the visit, Shah also plans to call on RSS Ideologue S. Gurumurthy and meet with leaders of BJP regional allies such as PMK and Tamil Maanila Congress.
AIADMK senior leader Ka Sengottaiyan recently added a layer of conspiracy, recently meeting Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi. It is worth noting that Sengottaiyan expressed his objection in the AIADMK, which is known to be different from Palaniswami on several issues.
