US Vice President JD Vance visited Akshardham Temple in Delhi with his wife Usha Vance and children, please watch here

US Vice President JD Vance, Second Lady Usha Vance and three children visited Akshardham Temple in the national capital on Monday morning shortly after arriving here.

Vance will make a four-day official visit to the country from April 21 to 24.

Radhika Shukla, spokesman for Akshardham Temple, said the U.S. vice president spent 55 minutes exploring the temple, admiring its intricate carvings and providing prayers for world peace.

Shukra said: “The whole family stayed here for about 55 minutes. Their inner experience was memorable. After the welcome, they started with Charanarvind of Lord Swaminarayan. Going forward, they loved Bharat upvan. They loved the garden very much. They loved the garden very much. They visited Gainra further. They prayed at Lord Swaminarayan of the sanctuary, praying for world peace…”

Before Vance visited the temple, Shukla said: “The Vice President and the Second Lady are arriving at the Akshadham Temple.

Earlier the day he arrived at Param Airport, Vance and his family were warmly welcomed. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw of Railways and Information and Broadcasting received a delegation at Palam Airport. The visit includes stops in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, and is expected to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the United States.

Vance also received a ceremony of honor during his first official visit to India.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal shared an article on X, “A very warm welcome to @VP JD Vance, @slotus @Slotus usha Vance and the US delegation received by Railways and I&B @AshwinivAishnaw at the airport.”

“The official visits across Delhi, Jaipur and Agra (April 21) are expected to further deepen the integrated global strategic partnership between India and the United States,” the Post added.

US Vice President Vance’s hockey was also placed near Param Airport before he arrived today.

Later today, Vance plans to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital. A bilateral meeting between Vice President Vance and Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to be held at 6:30 pm at the Prime Minister’s official residence (7-year-old Lo Kalian Marg).

Strengthening economic, trade and defense cooperation between the two countries may be on the agenda of the meeting.

After the formal meeting, the Vance family will visit Jaipur on Tuesday and then visit and Agra. He will travel to Jaipur on Tuesday. On April 23, he plans to visit Agra.

Vance’s visit to India will end on Thursday, April 24.

The visit is also crucial, as all related issues between India and the United States will be discussed during the visit of U.S. Vice President JD Vance from April 21 to 24, and bilateral relations are expected to be further strengthened, with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.

In a weekly media brief last Thursday, when asked about the possibility of tariff discussions, Jaiswal said: “When you have this partnership with any country, we have a comprehensive strategic global partnership… Obviously, you will discuss all the relevant issues…”

Earlier, JD Vance and his family ended their three-day visit to Italy, where he held bilateral meetings and participated in religious services over Easter weekend.

Vance arrived in Italy on Friday and held an extended bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. On Saturday, he met with church officials, including Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.

The U.S. Vice President ended his visit on Easter Sunday after meeting with Pope Francis.
