Amid the escalation of tensions in India-Pakistan, the G7 countries issued a major statement: “Further military escalation…”

The G7 urged the immediate downgrade of tensions between India and Pakistan following alleged missile strikes. “Further military escalation poses a serious threat to regional stability. We pay deep attention to the security of civilians on both sides.”
The G7 urged on Saturday to rise in tensions between India and Pakistan, which was reportedly demoted immediately after a missile strike. “We, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, strongly condemn the serious terrorist attacks on Pahargam on April 22 and urge the maximum restrictions in India and Pakistan.”

It added: “We call for immediate downgrades and encourage the two countries to have direct dialogue on peaceful outcomes. We continue to monitor the incident closely and express our support for a swift and lasting diplomatic resolution.”
Canada will hold the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta from June 15 to 17 to hold the 2025 G7 presidency.
Meanwhile, the Indian Ministry of Defense said in a press statement on Saturday that drones were seen between 26 locations on the international border and the Line of Control (LOC) with Pakistan, which also includes suspicious armed drones. These locations include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Bhuj, Kuarbet and Lakhi Nala.
A ministry spokesman said: “Unfortunately, an armed drone targeted the civilian area of Ferrozpur, causing injuries to local family members. The injured have received medical assistance and the area has been disinfected by security forces.”
“The Indian armed forces remained on high alert and used anti-UAV systems to track and participate in all these air threats. The situation was tight, with continuous observation and timely action taken where necessary.”
The Ministry of Defense also urged citizens, especially those in border areas, to continue indoors, to limit unnecessary movements and to strictly follow safety instructions issued by local authorities, adding that while there is no need for panic, higher vigilance and preventive measures are crucial.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday chaired a high-level meeting with Defense Secretary Rajnath Singh, the NSA Ajit Doval and all heads of the armed forces.
