Check mu: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jamu on Sunday to begin a three-day trip to Jamu and Kashmir, where he held a closed meeting with BJP MLA and office competitors. This is Shah’s first visit to the Union territory after the National Assembly government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in October. The visit is also of great significance following the ongoing large-scale counter-terrorism operations in the Katua area.
Shah landed at Chamu at about 6:50 pm, Governor Manoj Sinha, Trade Union Minister Jitendra Singh and other BJP leaders, including its Chamu and Kashmir Unit Chief Sat Sharma and the State General Secretary Sat Sharma and State Secretary General Jamu and Kashmir Tarun Paren Tarun Chugh.

Former Governor Ravinder Raina and former Chief Ministers Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh were also present.

Officials said Shah was escorted to Raj Bhavan and later visited the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar to chair the party’s MLA and other office competitor meetings.

The meeting began around 8:30 pm and lasted for nearly two hours.
“Shah received feedback from the challenges faced by legislators’ concerns about drug trafficking and security. He guided feedback from legislators to develop the strategy to oppose the national conference, which hopes to place Muslim society in the recently passed WAQF (Amendment) Act (Amendment), Article 370 of the Abolition and State Government Issues and Opposition Sunil Sharma.”
He added that the Home Secretary also directed lawmakers to develop the strategy to oppose the “anti-person policy” of governments within and outside the parliament.

Reiner said Shah highly appreciated the victory of the BJP workers in the parliamentary elections for partisan candidates in the Mu area and asked them to work further strengthening the organization of the entire Union territory.

The BJP won a record 29 seats in the Chamu area.

During his trip, Shah will visit a forward-looking position on the India-Pakistan border and review the security status and development plans.

Shah’s visit to the BJP headquarters coincided with the party’s foundation day, which was celebrated by workers and leaders earlier in the day.

Officials said police and security forces were on high alert for Shah’s visit.

On Monday, Shah will visit the “Vinay” outpost of the Border Security Forces (BSF) in Kathua and assess the ground situation.

Since March 23, a large-scale search operation has been carried out in the forest area of Katua after police and other security forces intercepted five terrorists who infiltrated the international borders of the Helanagal sector.

On March 27, four policemen and two terrorists were killed in a fierce gunfight.

Shah also plans to meet with members of the martyrs’ family of Jamu and Kashmir police on Monday at Raj Bhavan in Jamu and hand over the date letter to some of them for sympathetic reasons.
Shah will take stock of various development plans at a meeting at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar on Tuesday.

He will then attend another meeting to review the security situation in Chamu and Kashmir, officials said.

Earlier in the day, BJP Governor SAT Sharma raised the party flag at headquarters in front of senior leaders, including MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former deputy chief minister Gupta and opposition Sunil Sharma leaders.

A spokesman said that party flags were also hung on the roofs of workers in all organization district headquarters, BJP’s offices, and Chamu and Kashmir to commemorate the BJP’s foundation day.
