Amit Shah vigorously mocks opposition to the 2020 BTR peace agreement

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said when the Dr. Territory Region (BTR) peace agreement was signed on January 27, 2020, the opposition mocked it. 82% of the conditions of this Agreement have been met and the rest will be completed within the next two years.

Shah participated in the 57th annual meeting of All Bodo Student Unions (ABSU) as the chief guest of Kokrajhar. Later, the implementation of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, chief minister of Northeastern state, was reviewed in Guwahati. Seven Chief Ministers and the Governor of Manipur State attended the meeting. Manipur is under the rule of the president.

Shah said all Botau Student Unions (ABSUs) played an important role in building peace, development and enthusiasm in the region. Without the role of ABS, the Bodo protocol would be impossible and there would be no peace in Bodoland. Shaa also paid tribute to the five thousand martyrs who fought for the peace of Bloland.
Shah said today, when the entire Bodoland follows the path shown by its leader upendra Nath Brahma ji, the government has decided to name a famous road in Delhi Bodopha Upendra Nath Brahma Marg. He also mentioned that in the first week of April, a plan will be held in Delhi where the bust of Upendra Nath Brahma Ji will be unveiled. He said the Modi government and the Assam government will make every dream achievement of Bodopa Upendra Nath Brahma Ji.

Shah said it was due to Absu’s efforts that today students were able to advance the exam to 12th grade in the Bodo language. “As a result, our Bodo language has been recognized and will remain vibrant for many years to come. He further noted that today’s event conveys a strong message of the peace established in Bodoland. When the Bodoland Territory Region (BTR) peace agreement was signed on January 27, 2020, the opposition was mocking it. However, today, the central government and the Assam government have fulfilled 82% of the terms of this agreement. He further noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government will implement 100% of the agreement over the next two years. After that, the BTR will last forever peace.”


Shah said that under the BTR Peace Agreement, the government removed the Armed Forces (AFSPA) from the entire BTR area on April 1, 2022. This has become possible due to the peace established in Bodoland. He further said that due to peace, Hakadoland was able to host the “Turan Cup” Championship. He called on Bodoland athletes to start preparing for the potential Olympics in India in 2036. More than a dozen products from Bodoland have been awarded the GI (Geographical Indications) label, Shah said. As a result, the entire BTR region is gradually creating an industrial environment. He mentioned that for a time, discussions were conducted about unrest, chaos and separatism, but the focus now shifted to education, development and industry.

He added that even if the region has a population of only 3.5 million, the Indian government and the Assam government have allocated Rs 15 billion for the development of Bodoland. He also mentioned that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Bodo language was included in the eighth timetable of the Constitution. In addition, the BTR region has expanded to include the Sonitpur and Biswanath regions.

Shah said hundreds of young people have been brought into the mainstream of society. Surrendered many weapons, and in the past three years, Rs 28.7 billion has been spent on rehabilitation of 4,881 members of the Bodoland National Democratic Front (NDFB) in Assam, of which 90% of the money was provided by the Modi government.

Shah further mentioned that a lot of work has been done for employment and skills development. ASSAM Chief Minister Sarma made a new start by recruiting 400 Bodo youths into the Assam Commando battalion. He further mentioned that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Indian government has signed agreements with a total of nine rebellious groups in Assam, bringing more than 10,000 young people into the mainstream of society.

Shaa said that once the bullet is fired, today’s young man waves the tricolor. This scene sent a message to the entire country. He added that when Bodo Accord signed, not only Bodoland and Assam, but the entire country were happy.

The Union Home Minister said that Badu religion was followed by the people of the Bodoran people and had great significance. He explained that Bayu is composed of two elements, which means “the deep mysteries of the creator of the five elements.” These five elements or Panchatatva include fire, air, earth, sky and water, which form the basis of your great religion. He also mentioned that he worked hard to spread the message of Bayou religion.

Shah said that under Prime Minister Modi, the entire Northeast has been lifted out of problems such as rebellion, movement, blockade, strikes and violence and has been brought into the path of development. He mentioned that an investment summit was held recently under the leadership of PM Modi and Himanta Biswa Sarma, which brought Rs 5 lakh investment to Assam. He called on Bodo young people to focus on their education and contribute to the peace process.
