Amitabh Bachchan both will host the new Kaun Banega Crorepati season, and he officially announced the country’s favorite reality show with a new promotional approach. Earlier reports said Amitabh Bachchan might not be back because of the KBC host, while producers are looking for alternatives.
However, with this new promotion, Bachchan has confirmed that he will continue to host game shows. In the announcement video, Amitabh announced that the show will be back with a new season and it will open the door for the public to play games in popular seats with Mr. Bachchan. He had reportedly requested the channel to find his successor, but the channel failed to find Bachchan’s replacement and he had to continue as the host in KBC 16. But now, as the ongoing season is seeing the longest run of the show, it is seemingly confirmed that the next season of KBC will see a new host.
The Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) and Red Lab of Red Lab of Reddiffusion last week conducted a study in Hindi Heartland to find out who viewers think is the replacement for Amitabh in KBC. The respondents to the study were 768 respondents, 408 men and 360 women. Alas, KBC fans are happy that Amitabh will return as a host.
