Pakistan’s Punjab government has banned students from all universities and education colleges across the province from dancing on Indian Bollywood songs. To ensure the implementation of the ban, the Punjab Public Instructions Bureau (College) issued an order requiring strict discipline.
The March 12 order called for students to be banned from dancing on Indian songs, noting that students and teachers have been observed dancing on Indian songs during university entertainment fairs and sports dances. This shouldn’t happen.
“… On the stage or in the classroom, students and teachers dancing on Indian songs have been observed. The educational institute is a sacred place where quality education can be taught to aspiring students. These activities in educational institutions are not allowed to be held.”

The order further states that if negligence is taken into account in the implementation of the injunction, the authorities at the university concerned shall be held liable and will result in strict discipline. “As a result, you are directed to issue instructions to all public and private universities within your jurisdiction to avoid such immoral activities in educational institutions. If negligence is negligent, the principal, deputy director and the Director of Education (Colleges) should maintain responsible and strict discipline, they must be opposed.
