CM Revanth studies Tokyo’s Musi beachfront

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the state government delegation visited Tokyo Seaside on Friday to learn world-class development practices in the context of his flagship program. The focus of this visit was on the transformation of the Sumida River, which passed through central Tokyo and became a well-known tourist and urban attraction after its system was developed.

The delegation examined various aspects of Sumida Riverfront Development, including facilitating water transport, building long-term overpasses by the river, the required elevated corridors and the establishment of relevant urban infrastructure. These integrated developments have played a key role in reshaping Tokyo’s urban landscape.

This study visit has particular significance in the context of the Musi River Riverfront development project and is currently conceptualized to change Hyderabad. The Chief Minister and delegation conducted preliminary inspections of the riverside with the aim of integrating global best practices into the planning and implementation of the Telangana riverside development.
