Members of Andhra Pradesh National Committee on the Protection of the Rights of the Child (APSCPCR) found many of the minors in new mothers of many minors during the examination.

“When we asked some of the new mothers about their age, they admitted they were minors. Some of them said they had two children before they were 18,” said Kesali Appa Rao, chairman of the APSCPCR.

Mr. Appa Rao and APSCPCR member T. Adi Lakshmi, G. SeethaRam and J. Rajendra Prasad visited the ancient GGH a few days ago and asked about the baby’s facilities, the baby’s safety and health status.

“We found that some mothers cared for babies in the Mother and Newborn Care Unit (MNCU). Asked about their age, they revealed that they were under 18.” Hindu On Friday.

In some cases, the baby is less weight because the mother is either not at the age of the child or the age of anemia. Doctors noted that pediatricians in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) who accompanied the APSCPCR team during the examination said some minor mothers were giving birth in old GGH.

Ms. Adi Lakshmi said: “We interacted with some young mothers and their waiters in the waiting hall and the MNCU. They said they were married at the age of 15.”

APSCPCR member Rajendra Prasad said young girls who gave birth told it all was popular in child marriages in the state.

Seetha Ram said Anganwadi and Asha workers, teachers, Sachivalayam employees, women’s development and child welfare, police and all other departments should take measures to prevent marriage.

“When we spoke with ten mothers at the ancient GGH, four were married as minors. Instructions have been issued to the hospital authorities to submit details of admissions, outpatient clinics, mother’s age, Caesaran’s program, completed Janani Suraksha program and other details.”

“I’m 18 years old. I got married two years ago,” said a new mother who gave birth to a baby 15 days ago.
