Prime Minister Elon Musk PM Modi, Elon Musk discusses potential collaboration in technology.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday and discussed the huge potential for collaboration in the technology and innovation sectors. PM Modi said India is committed to promoting cooperation between India and the United States in these areas. Prime Minister Modi said they held talks on various issues, including topics covered at the U.S. meeting in February this year.

PM Modi said in an article on X: “I spoke with @elonmusk and talked about various issues, including topics that we covered at our meeting in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. We discussed the potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to promoting our partnership with us in these areas.”

In early February, Elon Musk convened PM Modi at the Blair House in Washington, DC. During the meeting, PM Modi and Musk discussed collaborations between Indian entities and American entities in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence and sustainable development.

PM Modi and Elon Musk also talked about opportunities to deepen emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and good governance collaboration. Musk is in charge of the head of the U.S. Department of Efficiency (Doge), accompanied by his three children.

“The Prime Minister and Mr. Musk discussed cooperation between Indian and American entities in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence and sustainable development. Their discussion also touched on opportunities to deepen emerging technologies, entrepreneurs and good government cooperation,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

Prime Minister Modi also participated in X to share details about his meeting with Musk. PM Modi said in an article on X: “I had a great meeting with @Elonmusk of Washington, DC. We discussed various issues, including those he was passionate about, such as space, mobility, technology and innovation. I talked about India’s efforts to reform and further improve the lowest government, highest government, largest government.”

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi met the child of Elon Musk who attended the meeting. PM Modi said on X: “It is also a pleasure to meet Mr. @Elonmusk’s family and talk about various topics!”
