The Centre filed a warning in the Supreme Court on Tuesday (April 8, 2025) and sought a hearing before passing any order challenging the constitutional validity of the WAQF (Amendment) Act (2025).

On April 7, the bench led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna assured senior advocate Kapil Sibal that he would appear in court for Jamiat ulama-i-Hind to consider listing the petition.
