Anupamaa to acquire new rival, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor enters Rupali Ganguly Show
Mukund Kapahi, who has been part of several TV shows including Naagin 6, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Spy Bahu, will now play a negative role in Anupamaa.

Anupamaa’s headlines under the name of Rupali Ganguly are one of the most successful shows, rushing into the TRP charts every week. The soap opera running since July 2020 has been televised on Star Plus and digitally played on Jiohotstar. Produced by Rajan Shahi, Anupamaa is a remake of Star Jalsha’s Bangladeshi series Sreemoyee, titled Indrani Haldar.
In the past few months, several leading actors have withdrawn from popular shows Anupamaa, including Sudhanshu Pandey, Gaurav Khanna, Paras Kalnawat, Madalsa Sharma and Alisha Parveen. Since the first generation leap in October 2024, several new characters have been introduced into the series.
Recently, Manish Goel and Randeep Rai joined the show as Raghav and Mohit respectively. Now Mukund Kapahi has entered the Rupali Ganguly Show as his new rival. Speaking of the same, Muken said to Indian Weapons: “Yes, I joined Anupama. I played a negative role and was a friend of Mohit. After a long time, I was so happy to be back on TV. Working with Rajan Shahi again. He worked with Rajan Shahi again. He trusted me in this role and I was so happy to be such a successful show.”
Mukund has previously appeared in several popular TV shows such as Yeh Risha Kya Kehlata Hai, Naagin 6, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, Nima Denzongpa, Imlie, Spy Bahu and Pishachini. He was last seen on the 2023 Dangal TV Romantic TV serial Mann Atisundar’s small screen, and Anupamaa will mark his comeback.
