Police raided Vizianagaram Srikakulam’s hut

Visakhapatnam: Police officials from the Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts conducted surprise inspections of various hotels and cottages in both areas as part of a strengthening effort to curb illegal activities and strengthen security measures.

In Srikakulam, an official led by DSP KV Maheshwara Reddy, checked the visitor registers, verification procedures and identification documents of all individuals living in these institutions.

“We are making sure that proper records are kept and that all guests have submitted valid ID cards. It is crucial that any suspicious person or activity be reported immediately to the local police,” DSP said.

The managers strictly stated that CCTV cameras were installed to monitor all the hotel’s locations and surrounding areas.

In the neighboring Vizianagaram district, similar operations were conducted in the supervision of SP Vakul Jindal, across 72 lodges falling under nine police station jurisdictions, including Vizianagaram One Town, Two Town, Kothavalasa, N. Kota, Gajapathinagaram, Bobbili, Ramabhadrapuram, Cheepurupalli and Rajam.

Police chiefs in both districts warned that legal action will be taken against agencies that discovery promote or allow illegal activities or fail to follow safety norms.
