US Vice President JD Vance visits Jaipur to deliver a key policy speech

New Delhi: US Vice President JD Vance and his family will fill Jaipur with cultural immersion and diplomacy, finally taking place in a policy speech at the Rajasthan International Centre on April 22.

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will accept Vance in Jaipur. The visit of the vice president will kick off with a tour of Amer Fort, where he will be welcomed by two decorated elephants “Chanda” and “Pushpa” in the Suraj Pol Gate. His day also included visits to the city palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.

Later that night, Vance will deliver a policy speech at the Rajasthan International Centre, followed by a meeting with the Governor and CM. He also plans to interact with industry leaders in Jaipur.
On April 23, the U.S. delegation will travel to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. Vance and his family will have dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21 the day before the war in Jaipur, with the discussion focusing on the quadrilateral partnership and bilateral trade.

Farwa Aamer, director of South Asia Initiative at the Institute of Policy Research of the Asian Associations, noted the significance of visiting in the growing regional dynamics. “VP Vance’s visit can further inject bilateral trade agreements, paving the way for practical, win-win deals,” she said.


She also stressed the strategic importance of India: “With the strict impact of U.S.-China competition, India’s strategic value will only grow. Despite resistance in tariffs and trade, Delhi still plays an active hand.” The Rajasthan International Centre, a hub of cultural and intellectual participation, will become the address of the president-hate, a senior India address that will become the address of a senior India.
