AP fully supports the construction of tribal universities: CM

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said the state government will fully support the rapid completion of the Central Tribal University built in Mentada Mandal in the Vizianagaram region.
On Tuesday, the university’s vice president, TV station Professor Kattimani and Professor Dean Mshath met CM in the secretariat. They discussed the progress of the construction, etc.
Naidu pointed out that the central government has allocated Rs 8 billion for the project, of which Rs 340 million have been released. The university is built on 561 acres of land, which includes administrative buildings, hotels and academic barriers.
CM recommends that VC complete all projects within one year. “The state government will provide full cooperation to implement the project.” He promised to speed up work related to drinking water, electricity and distance roads. He asked officials to start working in these areas immediately.
When VC said it would be a great help to complete the 2km distance road, CM promised him to start the works immediately.
University officials told CM that although 100 teaching staff were needed, only 18 were found. Naidu said he would write to the Prime Minister in an effort to increase his staff. The state will also ask the Prime Minister to attend the university convening scheduled for May.
The tribal university was founded in 2018 during its tenure in the last TD government, but has since worked in a rental venue. After the current government came to power, it has paid special attention to the development of universities. Currently, approximately 600 students take various courses.
CM hopes that once permanent campus is ready, the strength of students will rise. Naidu also urged VCs to ensure that teaching is aligned with skills development and employment opportunities. He said it must provide courses that meet current industrial and social needs.
