AP Minister Farooq Shabbir Ali holds joint review of HAJ pilgrimage

Hyderabad: A joint coordination meeting between the Hawaiian Commission and Andhra Pradesh officials was held on Saturday in the conference hall of the Br Br Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat to review the meticulous arrangements for the HAJ-2025 pilgrimage.
The meeting, held at the request of the Andhra Pradesh government, was chaired by the Telangana government Mohammed Ali Shabbir and attended by Andhra Pradesh Minister of Law, Justice and Minority Welfare N. Md.Farooq, who led the AP’s visit commission.
Shabbir Ali said in his opening remarks that Telangana will receive all pilgrims at the boarding point in Hyderabad, including pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, with utmost caution and dignity. He informed Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that had clearly directed to ensure that every pilgrim is respected and that complaints should not be received about services or facilities.
He said: “The Telangana Haj Committee is ready to make HAJ-2025 a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims.”
MD Farooq thanked the Telangana government for its warm hospitality and ensured the comprehensive cooperation of the Andhra Pradesh government. He said that about 1,200 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh will board Haj from Hyderabad this year and the government will coordinate closely with the Telangana Haj committee to ensure that all the requirements of AP pilgrims are fully resolved.
“We appreciate the support of the pilgrims who support us and look forward to working together in a spirit of solidarity and service,” he said.
According to the briefing, a total of 12,000 pilgrims from 17 states will set out for Haji. Starting from the Hyderabad landing point, a total of 31 flights depart from April 29. Of these, seven flights will go to Medina, while 24 will land in Jeddah.
The Telangana Haj Committee will handle all ground arrangements on the Haj House in Hyderabad, including boarding, accommodation, transportation, luggage, food, medical assistance and other services.
