Andhra Pradesh Minister of Tourism and Culture Kandula Durgesh and Minister of Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju respected Indian monks and senior officials to attend the ceremony of attending the Buddhist relics of Vietnamese Buddhist University on Friday.
The team accompanied the sacred artifacts delivered to Vietnam by a special plane.
Durgesh said in a statement issued Friday that it is a great honor to be part of this sacred mission. He said the celebrations aim to strengthen spiritual harmony and deep cultural ties between India and Vietnam.
On Thursday night, at the Indian Air Force Station in New Delhi, farewell to the holy relics, which were obtained from all over India. In close security, the artifacts were placed in a sacred coffin and boarded a special Indian Air Force Hercules aircraft.
On Friday morning, the holy objects from India were imposed in the Buddha Hall of the Buddhist University of Vietnam. The statement said the exhibition of the Buddha's sacred relics was held in Vietnam from May 1 to May 6, a lasting proof of Indian civilization and its legacy of peace and tolerance, adding that the artifacts will be displayed as part of a Buddhist religious plan in Hohi City, Vietnam to open worship for the public.
