Sanju Samson misses IPL 2025 against LSG? Rajasthan Royals coach Rahul Dravid made a major update

Sanju Samson had to leave DC after scoring 31 of 19 balls due to side-effort injury. He was in pain when shooting with leg spinner Vipraj Nigam.
The Rajasthan Royals may have to face the Lucknow super giant without captain Sanju Samson as the talented Kerala batsman has the potential to lose his upcoming match due to injury. In his last match against Delhi Capitals on April 16, three 31 goals beat 19 goals, who scored 31 goals in the April 16 match as he encountered discomfort in the side pressure while feeling uncomfortable while shooting with leg spinner Vipraj Nigam, and was forced to retire. The side strain prevented Samson from participating in the super end, and unfortunately, Rajasthan Royals lost.
Head coach Rahul Dravid revealed at a pre-match press conference ahead of the LSG game on Friday that the batsman had already conducted a scan to assess his injury.
“Sanju has experienced some pain in the abdominal area. So we did the scans. He did some scans today, so we are waiting for the results of these scans. Then, once we have a clearer picture of the severity of the scan and the severity of the (injury) of the scan and the severity of the (injury) we will continue to make the decision and we will see what is going on.”
Samson faced the challenge of injury in this year’s Indian Premier League, suffering from the role of the player in the first three matches as a thumb injury prevented him from fulfilling his goalkeeper’s duties. During this period, all-round player Riyan Parag took on the role of captain.
However, March returned in a match against the Punjab Kings on April 5, and Rajasthan won the match with 50 runs at Maharaja Yadavidra Singh International Cricket Stadium. Despite this victory, the 2008 IPL champion was a tough season and is currently ranked eighth in the standings with only four points in seven games.
Faced with a series of failures, RR will face the Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The absence of their top hitters and captains adds to the challenge of struggling franchise.
