AP under unprecedented turmoil: Jagan

Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister and YSRC President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the coalition government and noted that unprecedented and shocking developments in the state must be questioned. He urged the need to stand up as the voice of people to oppose the deterioration of various systems under constant threat.
Jagan said at a meeting of the Political Advisory Committee (PAC) in Vijayawada on Tuesday that the coalition government has been arresting people and bringing false cases to instill fear and suppress the voices of the opposition. “The government is trying to cover up problems with public interest, corruption and wrong government through transfer tactics, such as arresting high-profile individuals or spreading false narratives about party leadership,” he said.
Jagan’s arrests of former intelligence chiefs and interrogations by MP Mithun Reddy and questioning by other past officials further criticized the government’s fighting nature. He accused the status of the case making against the YSRC leaders, comparing it to the case involving N. Chandrababu Naidu. He added: “If this continues, the deterioration of the system will deepen, leading to anarchy. We must expose the malicious situation of the government, especially in areas such as land allocation, exaggerated contracts granted without checks and without procedures,” he added.
Jagan stressed that the state’s income is shrinking, while wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few. He criticized the pauses in the welfare program and the failure of alliance commitments, while the loan continued to be held, indicating poor financial management. “We have to stay in touch with the grassroots and solve people’s problems without compromise over the next three years,” Jagan concluded.
