Narendra Vikramidtya Yadav alias N. John Kemm is currently sent to Madhya Pradesh Prison for allegedly working as a cardiologist at Damoh Hospital, who was booked in 2006 in the death of politician Rajendra Prasad Shukla.

Yadav provided cardiac treatment to Shukla, who served as a speaker in the legislative assembly of the undivided Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and performed angiography and angioplasty at the Bilaspur’s Apollo Hospital in Bilaspur on 2 August 2006. A police officer said Yadav and Apollo Hospital administrators are facing charges of homicide, unlike murder, cheating, etc.

After media reports on the Damo incident, Shukla’s son Pradeep Shukla, 62, filed a complaint asking for an investigation into his father’s death. FIR noted that preliminary investigation into the complaints showed that Yadav (although not a medical expert or cardiologist, nor a registered doctor at the Indian Medical Council or Chhattisgarh Medical Council, was fraudulently appointed as a cardiologist at Apollo Hospital.

Criminal homicide

“Dr. Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav is very aware that he is not a cardiologist and if he has an angiography, angioplasty or other treatments for the patient’s heart is a punitive offence under Article 304 of the IPC [Indian Penal Code, 1860]FIR said.

Likewise, it added that Apollo Hospital management did not conduct proper investigations into Yadav’s certificate. Although he is not a registered doctor at the Indian Medical Council or the chhattisgarh Medical Council, the management of Apollo Hospital appointed Yadav to a cardiologist at Bilaspur Hospital and allowed him to perform angiography and angiography and angiography and treat patients with heart-related diseases. “So, in this case, the administration of Apollo Hospital is also a defendant,” FIR added.

The officer said officers were waiting for more reports to follow up on the defendant. A spokesperson for Bilaspur’s Apollo Hospital was unable to comment.
