On Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Company (APSRTC) driver died of a heart attack while on duty, at the Rayachoti bus stall in Anna Maya district.
The deceased Ramachandra (43) drove the bus from Rajampet to Rayachoti and ate breakfast after parking. He went to the second floor to buy water, where he collapsed and died from a heart attack. Mr Ramachandra is from Poli Village, Rajampet Mandal, survived by his wife, son and daughter.
Transport Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy expressed condolences to the driver's death and ensured government support for families.
