APSRTC suspends violations by 10 officials

Anantapur: Authorities of the AP State Road Transportation Company (APSRTC) suspended 10 officials in its Kadapa area on Saturday, a ministry of vigilance and safety for large-scale violations.
A detailed investigation determined that Zonal officer Mujaffar Rehman and nine police officers from eight districts within the Kadapa RTC region collected over Rs 5 million in raids by threatening to target company personnel who booked their case.
The issue surfaced after a security officer filed a complaint with APSRTC managing director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.
MD ordered two separate probes. After receiving the report, Tirumala Rao suspended Rehman and nine officers for their involvement in the breach.
