Ashoka University professor takes action on Sindoor on social media

Sonipat: Police said on Sunday that an associate professor at a private university here was arrested for his social media post and the action against Ali Khan Mahmudabad, associate professor at Ahsoka University, was complained by BJP Yuva Morcha leaders.
“Ali Khan Mahmudabad has been arrested from Delhi,” Ajeet Singh said via phone, saying he has been arrested for some comments related to Operation Singh. The Haryana Women’s Commission recently issued a notice on his Sindoor remarks.
The May 12 notice mentioned that the group had been aware of the “public statement/remarks” by Mahmudabad, head of the Department of Political Science at Sonipat Ashoka University, around May 7 or May 7. Indian armed forces attacked Pakistan’s terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early morning of May 7 in operation Sindor in retaliation for the April 22 Pahargam terrorist attack.
The associate professor later said the committee had “misunderstood” his comments. “…It surprised me that the Women’s Commission misread and misunderstood my posts within its excessive jurisdiction that they have turned their meanings upside down,” Mahmudabad said on X.
