Assam CM Himanta Sarma meets Gautam Adani’s son Jeet Adani and discusses investment advice of Rs 5 billion

The two held a detailed discussion to promote the key investment commitments that Gautam Adani implemented at the investment summit in Guwahati earlier this year.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Gautam Adani’s son Jeet Adani on Sunday. The two discussed the Rs 5,000 crore investment proposed by the conglomerate during its business summit in the state in February. Salma said the state government expects the proposals made by the Adani Group to invest in various sectors to become a reality soon. Gautam Adani announced that the conglomerate will invest Rs 5,000 crore in various departments of the state to resolve the inauguration of the Assam 2.0 Business Summit in February. “Amid the strengths of Assam 2, the Adani Group made a commitment of CR investment of Rs 50,000. Today, with my senior officials, we had an in-depth meeting with Mr. Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Group and his team to achieve this commitment,” he wrote in an article on X. “We expect the memorandum of understanding we signed with the huge investments related to the development of aviation cities, hotels, cement plants and major infrastructure projects will take off as soon as possible.”
Jeet Adani joined the Adani Group in 2019. He began his career in the CFO Group office, studying strategic finance, capital markets, and risk and governance policies. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His current role involves working with all verticals of the Adani Group. He also leads the Adani Airport business and the Adani Digital Labs. His father, Gautam Adani, is the second richest man in India, with a net worth of $59.1 billion according to Forbes. As of April 11, Adani Enterprises Ltd, the flagship company of the Adani Group, had a market capitalization of Rs 2.68 crore.
