Associate CM Review is the Steps to Distribute Laptops for College Students

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin chaired a meeting on Monday to review the steps to distribute laptops in the state.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to speed up the allocation of laptops, the official press release said.
Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam said distribution plans were prepared and tenders would soon surface.
Requires technical skills
While proposing the 2025-26 budget, Finance Minister Thangam Thatnarasu once said that it is necessary to constantly provide students with advanced technical knowledge and skills training when artificial intelligence reshapes the world.
He said the government plans to provide high-tech equipment for students studying at a variety of universities, including arts, science, engineering, agriculture and medicine.
βIn the first phase, 200,000 college students will be provided with tablets or laptops based on preferences for the next two years. The launch is to ensure that our youth succeed in the future high-tech world, and this scheme will be allocated to Rs 20,000 crore in 2025-26,β Mr Thennarasu said. β
Minister of Higher Education Govi. Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services Chezhiaan Palanivel Thiaga Rajan and senior officials attended the meeting.
