Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar has reiterated since the TDP-led coalition took over the Ins Rope in June 2024.
Ravi Kumar spoke to the media after opening a 33/11 kV substation in Tidco Housing Colony in Vuyyuru on Thursday, and Ravi Kumar said the government is working to reduce electricity costs and strengthen the power infrastructure.
He said YSRCP is spreading lies that it has increased electricity prices to damage the image of the coalition government. He insisted that the heavy tariffs borne by the people were due to the enormous hikes that took place during the YSRCP regime.
Mr Ravi Kumar said the government is strengthening the power network to stimulate industrial growth and the development of the seaport. He advised officials to spread public awareness about the PM Surya Ghar and PM Kusum programs that aim to transform families into self-reliant energy producers, thereby reducing their electricity bills and providing farmers with uninterrupted daytime electricity.
The minister added: “Andhra Pradesh has great potential in the field of renewable energy (RE) and is working to be a leader in leveraging it.”
Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashhowri and Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad were present.
