Ahmad al-Sharaa: Trump praised the Syrian president for being “attractive and strong”, but he was once a designated American terrorist. Have contact with al Qaeda

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Syria’s interim president Ahmad al-Sharaa in Riyadh and urged him to provide significant promotion to countries fired by war in a vow to lift sanctions to normalize them in Israel. Trump became the U.S. president on Wednesday to meet with Syrian leaders for 25 years, a former Islamic guerrilla and a jihadist who had been on the list of what the U.S. wanted and led the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in December.

Trump calls Syrian leader “young and attractive”

On the way to Qatar Air Force One, Trump praised Sharaa, calling the meeting “awesome” and described the leader as “young, attractive. Strong people. Past. Past. Past. Past. Past. Past is strong past. Fighter.”
Trump also said al-Sharaa has a “past, very powerful past – fighter jets. At a meeting between Trump and the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh, the meeting represented a major shift in Syria, which attempted to draw a new path after Bashar al-Assad suddenly fell from power last year.

Asked if Sharaa agreed to join the Abraham agreement and normalizes relations with Israel, Trump said: “I told him, ‘I hope I’ll join once the problem is resolved, he said yes. But they still have a lot of work to do.”
