Attorney clashed with client’s bail proceedings in Jhansi court; watch the viral video here

A dramatic melee broke out Saturday afternoon when two lawyers and colleagues fell into violent disputes on cameras, swinging sticks and throwing chairs at each other. The incident was recorded by bystanders and quickly spread on social media platforms, attracting widespread attention.

According to Circle (City) Sneha Tiwari, the conflict occurred in the Assistant City Magistrate Court, although there was no magistrate at the time. One party later filed a complaint at the Navabad Police Department alleging that the dispute broke out during a bail hearing in CRPC Section 151. The complainant claimed opposition to the attorney’s attempt to poach his client, which sparked confrontation.

Chandrashekhar Shukla, president of the Regional Bar Association, responded to the incident, calling it serious and unacceptable. He confirmed that a committee had been formed to investigate the matter and ensure that strict litigation would be taken against the lawyers responsible for the discovery.
