Nushrratt Bharuccha admits she was “injured” by Ananya Panday in Dream Girl 2: “Why not?”
Nushrratt Bharuccha is the original protagonist of the 2019 comedy Hit Dream Girl. However, in the sequel, Nushrratt is replaced by Ananya Panday. Two years after the release of Dream Girl 2, Nushratt finally broke the silence and admitted she was hurt by her replacement.

Actress Nushratt Bharuccha is the perfect example of an outsider who spent years building himself and then being replaced by a star kid who is part of her. Nushratt has proven her acting province in several films over the years, including Akash Vani, Pyaar ka punchanama 2, sonu ki titu ki ki Sweety and Chhorii. In 2019, Nushratt starred in a hit comedy dream girl who was paired with Ayushmann Khurrana. However, when the sequel “Dream Girl 2” was announced, Nushrat was replaced by Ananya Panday as the heroine. Dream Girl 2 was released in cinemas in 2023, and two years later, Nushrratt finally broke the silence of her replacement.
Recently, Nushratt interacted with the media while promoting her new release, Dream Girl 2. She said: “When I wasn’t part of my own sequel, when every other actor was the same, except that girl, I didn’t think that was cool naa, guys? Not cool?
Did Nushratt express her feelings about being replaced with a manufacturer? She replied, “No. I can’t beat the things I know won’t change, I know there’s nothing…what am I going to fight? What am I going to say?’Why why not?’ They will say, “We don’t want you.”
