Australian dad was killed in an unfortunate Mother’s Day accident – unthinkable after happening on the highway

A young father was killed in a Mother’s Day tragedy after leaving a car on a major highway in Western Australia.
Harrison McElroy, 24, and a 31-year-old woman were hit by a car while parking in an emergency lane in Forrest Highway, South Yunderup, near Mandula.
Mr. McElroy is left with an 18-month-old daughter and a “destructive” family.
The couple headed south and parked their white MG sedan in the emergency lane south of Pinjarra Road before leaving the vehicle at about 6.30 pm.
Not long after, a dark blue Volvo station was heading in the same direction.
Volvo’s driver immediately summoned emergency services, and he stopped at the scene to assist the couple.
Mr. Elroy and the 31-year-old woman who was not yet identified were seriously injured and died at the scene.
The two reportedly headed to Waroona to hit Mother’s Day gifts.

It is unclear why Mr. McEroy and the 31-year-old woman parked their cars in less than half an hour.
Crash investigators are checking the scene to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.

“On May 11, a young 24-year-old father died in a freak accident along the Forrest Highway,” she wrote.
“We don’t often ask for help, but sometimes life will put you in. You have no choice but to lend a helping hand.
“If you can keep anything to facilitate the mailing of Harrison and his family, he deserves it, it would be very thankful. ”
Family friends expressed condolences on social media, as one commented: “Such weird tragedy offers condolences to the family and friends of the young couple.”
In a touching message, a loved one said that the young father would rest in the love of his daughter, adding: “She always knows how much you love her.”
Another wrote: “I am very sorry for your loss of sweetheart.”
One third said: “I’m sorry to hear your losses, so miserable, thinking about you.”
