IFS Vikram Misri, who met the 1989 batch officer, was born in Srinagar

Who is Vikram Misri?
Vikram Misri was born in 1964 in Chamu and Srinagar, Kashmir, and went to school from Srinagar, Udhampur and Gwalior, respectively. Later, he enrolled at the Indian College of Delhi University, where he graduated from political science.
Later in 1987, Misri studied management from the Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI) in Jharkhand. He has worked with advertising agencies for about three years since then.
Misri’s occupation as a foreign officer in India
In 1989, Vikram Misri was elected as the Foreign Officer of India (IFS). He continued to work in Indian embassies in Washington, DC, Islamabad, Beijing and more. It is important to note that he has also served as a personal assistant to three Prime Ministers IK Gujral, Dr. Manmohan Singh and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
