Australia’s Arvensys Group proposes Rs 150 crore CBG plant in AP

Vijayawada:Australia-based Arvensys Group proposes a compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Andhra Pradesh, indicating an enhanced renewable energy infrastructure in the state.
Representatives from Arvensys met with Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar in Tadepalli on Thursday to discuss the project. Kumar introduced the team to the huge opportunity for renewable energy projects in the state. He assured the company that the government will provide comprehensive support and cooperation to green energy venture investors.
First, Arvensys representatives announced plans to build a CBG unit of 12-20 metric tons per day, involving an investment of Rs 1.5 crore.
The Minister stressed the Government’s commitment to promoting such projects through a single-window clearance system to ensure rapid approval. He expressed optimism that the CBG factory also created jobs for local youth.
