Austrian JJ wins love of Eurovision 2025

After JJ won Basel with a wasted song, Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest, an opera ballad with a towering voice that turned the vocals into the club anthem for the finale.

This is the country’s third victory, with JJ following in 1965 in the footsteps of Udo Jürgens, and Conchita Wurst in 2014.

Switzerland held the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956, the venue where Nemo won Malmö last year with the song “The Code”.

Austria is expected to be held in 2026, with Vienna having held two previous competitions.

Viennese-born JJ ranges from counter tenors to soprano and studies classical music. He co-wrote the winning song with Teodora Spirit and Thomas Turner.

JJ previously appeared in the British pronunciation under his name.

It was another tough night for the UK.

Sam Ryder’s space figure has been the only song that shocked the poor trend in recent years, finishing second in 2022.

No other UK has had more than 15 admissions since 2012, and Memorial Monday’s efforts have continued that record this year.

Girls’ Band’s Song About the Consequences of a Wild Night – What the hell happened? – Awarded to be automatically finals as the UK is one of the largest net contributors to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) that organizes the show.

They finished 19th in the public vote, with zero.

Remember that in the finals of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, Britain sang the song “The Where The Where Icket” on Monday.

During the two semi-finals and finals, guests on the show included three-time European TV host Petra Mede and the return contestants, as well as special video messages from Céline Dion, who won the contest for Switzerland in 1988.

37 countries participated in the competition and 26 countries entered the finals. The semi-finals were held Tuesday and Thursday, bringing some surprises. Australia, which has been on the European TV network since 2015, was surprisingly unable to fit with Go-Jo’s Innuendo-laden Milkshake Man.

There are still many Risqué songs, including Miriana Conte, who had to change the lyrics of her songs to remove references to Maltese singing – “Kant”, which is because the phrase “Service Kant” is obvious with the English oath.

In Finland entries in Finland, her songs repeatedly announced that she was coming, and she ended her performance, spraying fireworks with a giant golden microphone.

Other quirky props, including Lucio Corsi in Italy and a large piano, Louane in France is gradually smeared by falling sand, Tommy Cash in Estonia is wearing postal notes with “I Love Euro TV” on the suit pocket, while dancing outside, a scene called “Winner’s Cafe.” He didn’t win.

Israel’s continued competition sparked protests again, as last year, with about 200 people wearing Palestinian flags, joined a party in central Basel on Wednesday night and conducted more protests on Saturday night.

When Israel’s Yuval Raphael performed at the 69th Eurovision Song Conts in Basel, Switzerland (Friday, May 16, 2025), the audience held a Palestinian flag.

Before the event, RTé asked the EBU to hold talks after 72 former contestants called for a ban on Israel. Raphael, a survivor of Hamas’ attack on October 7, 2023 at Nova Music Festival, was eliminated by protesters on Thursday in her outfit.

After a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, EBU stopped Russia’s competition in 2022, which continued to win the competition of that year.
