Venice says it will host Bezos wedding and denies reports of possible disruptions in the city

Rome (AP) – The city of Venice confirmed on Saturday it will host Dochriya’s wedding Jeff Bezos Fiancé Lauren Sanchez denied reports that the famous Italian city will be invaded by hundreds of celebrities and may cause interference to citizens and tourists.
The city did not give wedding dates in a brief statement. Italian media reported that it will hold several days of celebrations between June 24 and 26.
“Many speculation and false news about Jeff Bezos’ wedding was completely unfounded,” the statement said.
Bezos is the owner of The Washington Post, the founder and largest individual shareholder of Amazon. Among other things, George and Amal Clooney celebrated their wedding in Venice in 2014.
The city said it would only invite 200 guests, a number that is easy to accommodate without causing any interference from the city, its residents and tourists. It noted that it has extensive experience in dealing with international activities “much larger than that”.
“Venice is used to being the stage and performance of events without significant impact,” the city says, architecture and cinema Bienneals as well as private events and VIP weddings.
Several reports in Italian and international media show that Bezos’ wedding organizers have booked rooms at major luxury hotels in Venice and booked for a few days in late June, with a large number of cable cars and water taxis transported by locals and tourists on a daily basis.
The city denied the reports, saying “It is their priority for everyone who ensures that the city is functioning properly without causing abnormal interference to anyone.”
Mayor Luigi Brugnaro said: “We are working with each other and supporting organizers to ensure that the event will absolutely respect the vulnerability and uniqueness of the city.”
