Aviation Minister and Amit Shah from AP CM Naidu express support to support tourists affected by Kashmir terrorist attacks

Hyderabad: Following the tragic terrorist attack in Kashmir, Union Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu acted quickly to ensure the safety and well-being of affected tourists and victims.

The minister also spoke with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister n Chandrababu Naidu and introduced him to the situation. Following Naidu’s guidance, a special help desk was set up in Andhra Bhawan, Delhi to assist and coordinate the safe return of the Telugu people stranded in Kashmir. A 24×7 emergency help desk has been established in Bhawan, Andhra Pradesh, New Delhi for tourists who need help or information.

With a profoundly personal gesture, Ram Mohan Naidu expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Chandra Mouli, a resident of Visakhapatnam, who suffered a crushing defeat in the terrorist attack near Pahalgam. The Minister immediately contacted the collectors in the Visakhapatnam area and asked for full coordination with the victim’s family to ensure that the body was airlifted and brought back to Vizag with all necessary support.

The minister personally spoke with the union’s interior minister Amit Shah. He said he was monitoring the situation around the clock and coordinated closely with relevant authorities. As part of immediate relief measures, two special flights from Srinagar to Delhi, two to Mumbai have been arranged – additional flights have been arranged to meet further evacuation needs.

Ram Mohan Naidu also held emergency meetings with all airline operators and sent strong consultations against the surge in pricing. Airlines have been instructed to maintain regular fare levels to ensure there is no passenger burden during this sensitive period. He further spoke with the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and ensured full support to promote the safe return of tourists and coordination with state authorities.

In addition, Ram Mohan Naidu has instructed all airlines to transport individuals of the deceased to their respective states in conjunction with state governments and local authorities. The Ministry of Civil Aviation remains on high alert and is committed to providing possible assistance to those affected.
