Leaders, including S. Ramadoss, welcome the Supreme Court’s decision on governor’s power

Tamil Nadu’s party largely welcomes the Supreme Court’s decision to announce 10 bills on the state government, and Governor RN Ravi has been withheld for two to five years.

Despite being part of the Democratic coalition led by the BJP, PMK founder S. Ramadoss welcomed the verdict Tuesday, which declared the governor’s actions illegal. He said the state government should immediately appoint the vice president as a state university and safeguard the welfare of students.

VCK founder and Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan requested Mr Ravi to be removed from his post. He said in a statement that the Supreme Court had taught the governor who insulted India’s constitution, which was a good lesson. “This judgment taught a good lesson not only to the governor of Tamil Nadu, but to the Modi government, who tried to disturb the non-BJP-ruling country. The Supreme Court’s judgment is historic. It’s a matter of the constitution of India and state rights, and it’s a big turn,”

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) Chairman K. Selvaperunthagai said the Supreme Court condemned Mr. Ravi’s anti-people stance and made a clear judgment. “This has undermined the activities of the BJP to dilute India’s constitution. The constitution has been saved by this ruling,” he said.

Manithaneya Makkal Katchi President and MLA MH Jawahirullah demanded that the governor resign and leave Tamil Nadu immediately. “The coalition government’s use of the governor to turn the state government into its puppets has been blocked by this judgment. The power of the elected government is protected,” he said.

MDMK chief Vaiko said the Supreme Court has learned that the governor has used his office for political reasons and has taken action against the Indian Constitution. “RN Ravi lost his moral right to continue as governor,” he said.

Dravidar Kazhagam President K. Veeramani said: “The judgment is a turning point in the state’s rights that has never been seen in Indian political history. It is an appropriate condemnation of Mr. Ravi. He should resign or demand his resignation. The Supreme Court’s judgment is the Supreme Court’s judgment, and he said he acted in a dishonest way. It is a dishonest rule.

He added that Chief Minister MK Stalin saved many universities in one day. “The rights of all countries are saved today. This is a political turning point,” Mr. Veeramani said.

Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan asked why Chief Minister MK Stalin disrespected the Supreme Court’s ruling on NEET.
