Balakrishna plays a tough cop in Jailer 2?

Veteran star Nandamuri Balakrishna, currently riding high on the success of films like Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy, is reportedly set to make his debug special appearance in a Tamil film with Jailer 2. In what is shaping up to be an exciting collaboration, Balakrishna will share screen space with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, playing a tough, no-nonsense police officer in this action-packed sequel.

Sources close to this development confirmed: “NBK does say yes” to the powerful role in prison. He likes what Nelson director Nelson throws at him and looks forward to filming. While it’s more of a guest, Balakrishna wants a solid and influential character, the roles played by Nelson and Nelson.

In the initial jail stroke, director Nelson Dilipkumar brought excellent cameos from Kannada star Shivaraj Kumar, Malayalam Icon Mohanlal and Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff. These characters not only received good reviews, but also added huge appeal, which promoted the movie’s box office success.

At that time, Nelson revealed that he was keen to cast a powerful cameo for Tollywood stars (Megastar Chiranjeevi or Natasimha balakrishna). He later admitted: “Mr. Balakrishna is in my mind, but I can’t properly design his character into a script. That’s why I put it down. But if he plays the role I play for Carrer 2, it would be very powerful.”

Sources said Balakrishna will appear in the flashback sequence and share an influential scene with Rajinikanth. He is expected to portray a policeman from Andhra Pradesh, reminiscent of his iconic roles in films such as Rowdy Inspector and Lakshmi Narasimha.

With Carrer 2, this marked Balakrishna’s first special appearance in Tamil films, setting the stage for a high-octane pan-Indian film moment.
