Bandi seeks more money for Saraswati Pushkaralu

Warangal: The Congressional government prioritized the Miss World competition over the meticulous arrangements of organizing the Saraswati Pushkaralu Festival, allegedly Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Minister of State for the Ministry of Home Affairs. He made these remarks while visiting Kaleshwaram in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally area, accompanied by his wife Bandi Aparna.
The minister was welcomed by regional collector Rahul Sharma and the principal of police officer Kiran Khare, who presented him with souvenirs. After receiving the honorary police, the couple leaned in the Triveni Sangamam in the Vedic hymns and later visited Mukteshwara Swamy Temple where the priest provided special blessings.
Bandi Sanjay spoke at the event, criticizing the state government for allocating only Rs 35 crore for the celebration of Saraswati Pushkaralu. He said the limited funding makes it difficult for regional governments to manage the celebrations effectively.
“If the BJP had taken power, the entire South India would have celebrated Saraswati Pushkaralu on a huge scale,” he said. “While there is nothing wrong with playing Miss World, it is unacceptable to ignore spiritual events like Pushkaralu. The Congressional government was completely unable to organize the festival.”
The event was compared with Kumbh Mela of Uttar Pradesh, which attracted more than 500 million devotees through the careful arrangement of the BJP government, who claimed that the state government failed to receive even 5 million pilgrims expected to visit Saraswati Pushkaralu in Kaleshwaram.
Bandi Sanjay describes Kaleshwaram as a powerful and sacred place not only spiritually but also cultural and tourism hub. He criticized the former BRS government led by K. Chandrasekhar Rao for winning the Kaleshwaram reputation through the Kaleshwaram project.
He said KCR guaranteed $10 billion for the development of the Kaleshwaram Temple, while Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy promised Rs 2 million for the Kaleshwaram and Vemulawada temples. “There are only people who know where these funds go,” he added, urging the Congressional government to focus on transforming Kaleshwaram into a nationally renowned spiritual tourism center.
