Bangalore Nama Metro commuter fined Rs 500 on train

Commuters heading to Magadi Road from Madavala Metro Station were fined Rs 500 on Monday (28 April 2025) for violating subway rules.
The passenger was punished after being caught eating on a Nama Metro train on April 26, 2025. The incident was exposed when the co-passenger in question recorded the violation and shared it on social media.

On April 28, when commuters entered the Madavala metro station at the Nice Highway junction, security personnel determined and fined. According to the Bangalore Metro Company Limited (BMRCL) regulations, it is strictly prohibited to eat food and beverages in subway places and in trains. The rule is designed to keep it clean, prevent littering and ensure sanitary commuting experience for everyone.
