Local media reports that Bangladeshi actress Nusraat Faria is known for portraying Sheikh Hasina in Bangabandhu biopic “Muhib: A Country’s Production”.
The Dhaka Tribune reported that Nusraat was arrested for alleged involvement in a murder case related to anti-government protests.
According to the Dhaka Tribune, the uprising in July allegedly murdered a student in the Vatara area last year, filing a lawsuit against 17 actors, including Nusraat.

She released Sheikh Hasina’s role in Muhib: Production of a Nation in 2023. It is based on the life of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father and first president of Bangladesh, commonly known as Bangladesh. This is a co-produced between Bangladesh and India, and the film is directed by titular characters represented by Shyam Benegal and Arifin Shuvoo.
