Shreyas Iyer wins ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award

Dubai: Fashionable Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer won the ICC Men’s Player of the Year Award in March after playing a brilliant role in India’s championship trophy victory on Tuesday.
Iyer won honors with 243 runs in the ODI event, ending the match with 243, overcoming New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra.

The 30-year-old scored 172 times in three games in March, averaging 57.33 and a strike rate of 77.47, including some spectacular knocks.
Iyer scored 79 points on 98 balls, including four and two sixes, winning the championship trophy against New Zealand, a inning that gave India 250 competitiveness in the first inning on a tricky court.
He scored 45 points in 62 goals to assist India in winning Australia in the semifinals and ended the match with 62 goals and 48 goals in clinical as India won the victory over New Zealand at the summit.
