AG’s office employee arrested for renting a house for marijuana cultivation

A special team of excise tax arrested an employee of an accountant’s office on Thursday, allegedly cultivating cannabis plants in his rental home in Kamaleswaram. The defendant has been identified as Jasin (27 years old) of Rajasthan. According to Apshahjahan, the Circle Inspector, leading the raid, found five cannabis plants from the terrace. A batch of seeds and tools for cultivation were also captured. The defendant has been in this place for the past 10 months. Although he lives with two other employees in the AG office, the GST team has not received any evidence to link it to marijuana plant cultivation. The GST team launched the attack, following the secret message passed by the source.
