Citizen body heads also mark hygiene issues around majestic bus stalls
During the inspection, he ordered the immediate removal of obstacles, including the large ring tube and fallen branches near the statue of Sangolli Rayanna. He also marked hygiene issues around the majestic bus booths and noted that despite the local many public toilets, the public urinated extensively. Officials were told to implement strict measures to maintain cleanliness in the area.
At Shantala Silk Junction, Mr. Rao used the available space inside the bus stand to indicate the expansion of the sidewalk. He directed emergency repairs to require damaged curbs, damaged flat panels and if necessary to install posts. The attention of relevant departments also caused a leakage of sewage through the pipe opening.
Rao highlighted the abuse of sidewalks, calling on suppliers to take action while allowing licensed hawkers to operate without hindering pedestrians’ actions. He also instructed the engineers to remove the encroachment, including a wall that was immediately razed to the ground using earthworks near the Upparpet police station.
In addition, ward engineers are asked to check all roads for trail issues and submit a repair plan. Joint Commissioners will randomly check sites to ensure compliance.
