A 35-year-old woman was killed on Monday in part of the walls of a collapsed building in Mahadevapura, as a large number of premonsoon rains hit Bengaluru from Sunday night to Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shashikala, who is the housekeeper staff of a private company in Channasandra. She cleaned her house at about 7 a.m. after heavy rain late at night, according to police. Police said the wall was buried under the debris as the rain collapsed and collapsed.
Police said she is from Yadgir and works with her family. Her husband, daily wage workers and two children survived.

Sri Sai’s layout, Trinity Fortune Leatout, Rainbow Drive Layout and Manyata Tech Park were also flooded again.
It is reported that flooding is also spreading on many roads. In areas such as Koramangala, Indiranagar, Silk Board junctions and Electronic City Overpass, traffic piled up in the early hours as water stagnation slowed down. Traffic police issued protocols to mitigate traffic in affected areas, including ropes inserted into motors to pump water and deploy more power to manage traffic.
Judicial officials were asked to transfer traffic to adjacent roads on the main road and prevent vehicles from traveling on the overpass.
Amazing 105.5mm rainfall in 24 hours
Bengaluru received stunning rainfall during a 24-hour rainfall period (between 8.30 am on Sunday and 8.30 AM on Monday), the second place since May 2011. In May 2022, Bengaluru recorded 114.6 mm of rainfall, with the historical record on May 6 being 153.9 mm. May 6, 1909 on May 6, 1909.
According to IMD data recorded at 8.30 am on Monday, the records for Bangalore HAL Airport and Kempegowda International Airport were 78.3 mm and 105.5 mm.
IMD observation data further pointed out that the rainfall at the Bangalore meteorological station was zero for 9 hours (between 8.30 and 5.30 pm on Sunday morning) and zero for rainfall. Record rainfall occurred between 5.30 pm Sunday and 8.30 AM Monday.
