BHEL’s revenue grew 19% in power sector demand in fiscal 25

State-run Bharat Heavy Electrical Co., Ltd. (BHEL) reported on Sunday that its revenue grew 19% in 2024-25 ₹273.5 million book-ordered driver.

In terms of execution, BHEL commissioned or synchronized the thermal capacity of 8.1GW. “BHEL entered 2025-26 with strong momentum as revenue grows, record orders and a healthy execution pipeline. The company remains committed to providing high-impact infrastructure that drives localization and increases the value of stakeholders,” the company statement said.
In the quarter ended December, the company reported consolidated net profit ₹13.47 billion, more than double the profit reported in the corresponding period of 2023-24 ₹603,100 million.
According to its 2023-24 annual report, engineering companies operating in the country received orders of value ₹In the fiscal year, there were 9.6GW of thermal projects at Rs 52,000 crore. Order momentum continues in 2024-25, with the government planning to establish 80GW of thermal capacity by 2032.
The power sector accounts for approximately 70% of BHEL operations, another major area, which caters to major equipment supply and EPC for industry work including transportation, transmission, defense, aerospace and captive power plants. Starting from August 2019 to September 2022, the company has not received any orders in about three years and is now even receiving orders and inquiries from private companies to purchase boiler, turbine and generator (BTG) merchandise, Mint Earlier reported.
On March 21, the company announced that it had packed value ₹Gujarat State Electricity Corp.
On Friday, its shares in BSE were ₹227.50, 0.69% higher than previous closures.
